Single Player (You vs AI)
Quick solo matches with control over grid size, who starts, and your symbol.
- Grid sizes: 3x3, 5x5, 7x7.
- First move: You or AI.
- Your symbol: X or O.
Tacturf is a bright twist on classic tic-tac-toe: play Solo against AI, share the device for Two Players, or run Watch AI to see two AI fighters battle it out. The main screen uses a simple PLAY button, and you can choose what PLAY launches using Quick Setup.
Tacturf is built around three main modes: Single Player, Two Players, and Watch AI. You can also jump into an Ultimate 9x9 challenge.
Quick solo matches with control over grid size, who starts, and your symbol.
Two people take turns on the same phone or tablet. Add player names and choose match rules.
Pick the grid and AI "fighters" for X and O, then watch the match play out.
A bigger grid challenge for longer games and bigger swings.
These modes and options match what is shown in the Android UI: grid choices, first-move controls, symbols, player names, AI personas, and auto-rematch.
On the main screen, the big PLAY button launches your preferred mode. In Settings, you can choose what PLAY should start: Single Player, Two Players, Watch AI, or Ultimate Challenge (9x9).
Quick Setup stores a "quick mode" plus the options for that mode (grid, personas, auto-rematch, etc.).
Keep Tacturf comfortable for quick sessions: toggle sound, pick a grid theme, and set your nickname (used in places like "You vs AI").
The Android main menu reads theme and sound settings, and opens Settings from the main screen.
You can switch between quick matches and bigger challenges anytime. Watch AI and Ultimate 9x9 are available from the main menu, so it’s easy to jump into a longer or more strategic game.
The goal is to keep the core experience fast and simple, while still offering deeper options when you want them.
